Grant Associates President Doug Cotter Among City & State’s 50 Over 50 Honorees

Grant Associates president Doug Cotter will be among those honored as New York’s most distinguished public servants over the age of 50 at tonight’s City & State “50 Over Fifty Awards: The Age Disruptors” event. This is the fifth year City & State has partnered with AARP to profile 50 of the most distinguished leaders in New York who have spent their careers working to making New York a better place. In addition to being honored at tonight’s reception in the Prince George Ballroom, honorees will be profiled in a special edition of City & State Magazine. Ten Lifetime Achievement Award winners will also be recognized at the event.

Doug has been a thought leader in the field of workforce development for over two decades. He has been responsible for leading Grant Associates’ program design and launch of new contracts and has had oversight of national operations, providing leadership and accountability for programs in multiple states. He is a nationally recognized expert in sector work and has presented on the issues that affect workforce development for many organizations, including the Administration for Children and Families, National Association of Workforce Boards, and the New York Association of Training and Employment Professionals (NYATEP).

“My proudest professional achievement is being part of the Grant Associates team and realizing the incredible impact we have made over the years,” he said. “Over the past year we helped over 9,000 businesses start, operate and expand, helped over 16,000 individuals gain access to good jobs with career advancement protentional, and assisted close to 5,000 young adults gain access to perspective-changing—and in some cases life-changing—work-based learning opportunities. I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to be doing this work and making this kind of impact with such a fantastic team.”
