From welfare reform to economic development, Grant Associates has helped government agencies across the country address an array of public sector challenges.

Welfare Reform Solution. Shortly after welfare reform legislation was passed in 1996, Grant Associates recognized that welfare recipients would have challenges finding work. Leveraging the labor shortages that employers were then experiencing, we engaged Fortune 500 companies in new welfare to work programs to help fill their open positions. Working with major corporations, such as Xerox, JP Morgan Chase and Starwood Hotels, we launched welfare hiring initiatives in more than 20 states. Because of the success of these efforts, we were retained by President Clinton’s Welfare to Work Partnership to replicate our marketing techniques for a broader business audience.

One Stop Solution. When Grant Associates took over a contract to manage the Queens Workforce1 Career Center, it was largely underutilized by jobseekers and businesses. Just one year after our operations began, the Queens Career Center became the most successful One Stop in New York City.

Welfare Reduction Solution. Looking to streamline the application process for welfare benefits, the Division of Family and Children Services in Cobb County, Georgia engaged Grant Associates for job preparation and placement services to get people employed before they require public assistance. Because of our unique program design and highly structured approach, new TANF approvals in the County were reduced by 50%.

Economic Development Solution. When the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation wanted to bring more call centers to bring to the state, Grant Associates developed a state-of-the-art training program to create a pipeline of highly skilled call center employees that would attract companies looking for skilled workers. As a result of this innovative collaboration, twelve call centers opened in Rhode Island after the training began.

Ex-offender Solution. Grant Associates has had extraordinary success helping people with challenging employment obstacles. Though ex-offenders are recognized as a difficult population to get hired, we placed 2,500 under a special City of New York contract using our business-driven model.

"Grant Associates is a master at converting business expertise into jobs and opportunities for workforce customers."

Marilyn Shea, Executive Director, New York City Workforce Investment Board, 2004-2007, and Regional Administrator, United States Department of Labor, 1997-2002.
