Dale Grant, President, founded Grant Associates with Diane Edelson and Paula Bailey in 1997 to connect businesses with new opportunities offered by the public workforce system. Committed to improving the economic wellbeing of low-income individuals, Ms. Grant saw matching the interests of government and the private sector as a means of accomplishing that goal. She has been advising businesses on workforce strategies for more than 25 years and has implemented over 100 public/private partnerships. Previously, Ms. Grant was Vice Chair of The Segal Company, the nation’s ninth largest human resources consulting firm. A graduate of New York University, Ms. Grant is a leading authority on business-driven workforce development strategies.
   
Diane Edelson, Senior Vice President, has over 20 years of experience in recruiting, job placement and personnel services. She is responsible for managing the company’s business relationships and business services in all Grant Associates offices. As Senior Vice President, she also manages all of the company’s administrative and operational activities. Prior to joining Grant Associates in 1997, Ms. Edelson held leadership positions at America Works, Forum Personnel and the Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services. She holds a B.A. from Queens College and a M.S. in Education from New York University.
   

Throughout her career, Paula Bailey, Vice President, has advised businesses on their workforce challenges and counseled jobseekers on their employment goals. As Vice President of Grant Associates, Ms. Bailey is responsible for managing the company’s numerous workforce programs, including the Queens Workforce1 Career Center, one of the busiest One Stop Centers in the country. Previously, Ms. Bailey served as the Director of Employment at the Partnership for New York City and a Senior Corporate Representative at America Works New York. She holds a B.A. from Cornell University and a M.S. in Organizational Leadership from Nyack College.

   
As Controller, Mary Guernier is responsible for all of Grant Associates’ corporate finance and accounting operations and contract administration. She is a Certified Public Accountant and was previously an independent consultant providing small and medium-sized companies in the Washington, DC metro area with accounting and business consulting services, specializing in government contracting. Ms. Guernier has held senior finance and accounting positions at ERC Environmental & Energy Services Company, The BDM Corporation and Arthur Andersen & Co. Ms. Guernier holds a MBA from George Washington University and a BS/BA in Accounting from Georgetown University.
   

Patricia Brooks manages Grant Associates’ services for individuals with criminal justice issues. She is Deputy Director of Employment Works, a program aimed at reducing recidivism by connecting individuals on probation with employment, training, mentorship and other supports. Ms. Brooks has proven expertise managing programs for traditionally hard to serve populations, including ex-offenders and individuals with disabilities, substance abuse histories, and those on public assistance. Prior to joining Grant Associates, she was the Director of Student Services at Career Blazers Learning Center. Ms. Brooks is an advocate for people with domestic violence and criminal justice issues in New York City.

   
Douglas Cotter leads Grant Associates’ sector-based strategies. He currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Workforce1 Transportation Career Center, New York City’s first-ever career center designed to address the specific needs of workers and businesses within the Transportation sector. Mr. Cotter’s career at Grant Associates began in 2005 when he took on responsiblity for the Account Management team in the company’s Queens location. Prior to joining Grant Associates, Mr. Cotter was a Recruitment Manager for New York Job Partners and the Founder and Head Recruiter for 4-evolution Staffing, Inc. He holds a BA from Hunter College.
   
Martin D’Andrade has been involved in managing a range of Grant Associates programs for more than five years. Currently, he leads Grant Associates’ career advancement services, including Income Plus, which helps low-income workers achieve promotions and pay increases through training, workshops and career planning assistance. Previously, Mr. D’Andrade was a Program Manager for Easter Seals New York, where he supervised 20 staff members and developed relationships with government agencies, community-based organizations and employers on the organization’s behalf.
   
Ernell Thacker manages daily operations for Grant Associates’ programs in the metropolitan Atlanta area, where she is responsible for program development and reporting. She has successfully managed welfare to work programs for over ten years. Prior to joining the company in 2004, Ms. Thacker held positions at the Fulton County Office of Workforce Development and the City of Atlanta Workforce Development Agency. She holds a BA in Psychology from Spelman College and a MA in Counseling from Atlanta University.
   
Pintso Topgay oversees the delivery of business services, including financing, legal, licensing, procurement and business start-up assistance, to business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs in New York City, where Grant Associates operates two NYC Business Solutions Centers. Originally from Sikkim, India, Pintso holds a Masters in Public Administration from the City University of New York’s Baruch Graduate School of Public Affairs. During his studies, Pintso was chosen as the first Kauffman Fellow at the top-performing New York State North Brooklyn Empire Zone, administered by the East Williamsburg Valley Industrial Development Corporation (EWVIDCO).
