HISTORY

Three corporate executives – Dale Grant, Diane Edelson and Paula Bailey – founded Grant Associates in 1997 to engage leading Fortune 500 companies, such as Xerox, JP Morgan Chase, Aramark, CVS, Starwood Hotels and Toys R Us, in new welfare to work initiatives. Working with local government agencies on behalf of these clients, we established workforce initiatives in over 20 states. Our extraordinary success in engaging the private sector led to another contract with the Clinton Administration’s Welfare to Work Partnership to develop marketing strategies that would attract more companies to hire from the welfare population.

From these early assignments, we have become leaders of the demand-driven approach to workforce development. We have built our company around transforming business needs into a model that develops people, connects them to jobs and increases their earnings.

"In 1998, Grant Associates convinced us of the many opportunities offered by government. Since then, we have hired 64,000 employees from the workforce system and we continue to rely on Grant Associates as a key partner."

Stephen M. Wing, Director of Government Hiring Programs, CVS, and Grant Associates business partner of 10 years.
